Why should you have your chimney relined or resurfaced you ask? No matter what your burning, wood or gas, there are many gasses and heat moving upward through the system. Any defects in the liner, masonry or stainless, allow for those gasses and heat to escape out the side of the chimney and create a huge hazard that could potentially fill the house with toxic gases or catch the house on fire.
